"Teagan and His Bros"
In the Ronald Short-created live-action puppet web series Teagan and His Bros, Connor and Bobby find their stoner lifestyle disrupted when they take in a stray cat with a big mouth and a taste for weed, pizza, and potted plants. Teagan the yappy ginger cat is portrayed by a puppet that us voiced and operated by Austin-based filmmaker Ronald Short, who also wrote and directed the four episodes of this unusual bro-com that are now available to stream on Laugh After Dark TV. The Austin-shot Teagan and His Bros also stars Mike Vera as Connor and Nathan Minger as Bobby. Ronald Short previously wrote and directed two features, 2018’s Good Feels on Wheels and 2012’s Billi & Theodore, as well as the shorts Breakfast to Go, The Rink, Dog Gone, and Breaking and Entering, among others. He also created the 2015 web series Weekend Plans.
