"The Unholy Trinity"
![]() Directed by Richard Gray, the post-Civil War western The Unholy Trinity pits Pierce Brosnan’s Sheriff Gabriel Dove against Samuel L. Jackson’s mysterious and manipulative St. Christopher as the latter hunts for his stolen gold in the Montana pioneer town of Trinity. Stuck between Dove and St. Christopher is Henry (Brandon Lessard), the son of Trinity’s disgraced co-founder. Henry returns to Trinity to avenge his father’s false imprisonment and subsequent execution only to discover his father’s accuser is dead. As Henry falls under the influence of St. Christopher, Sheriff Dove must deal with the rising tension in Trinity stemming from the unsolved murder of his predecessor, the man responsible for both Henry and St. Christopher’s woes. The Unholy Trinity opened June 13 in theaters. Australian-born filmmaker Richard Gray previously directed the 2022 western Murder at Yellowstone City, the 2019 Braveheart-inspired historical epic Robert the Bruce, and the 2016 Jason Momoa thriller Sugar Mountain. Gray shot The Unholy Trinity at the Yellowstone Film Ranch, a western backlot he and his partners built in Paradise Valley, Montana.
