Sound Unseen ATX 2024
![]() Devoted to music film features and shorts, Sound Unseen ATX 2024 runs Dec. 12-14 at the Austin Film Society’s AFS Cinema. The festival opens Dec. 12 with the documentary Linda Perry: Let It Die Here, with the singer-songwriter participating in a live Skype post-screening Q&A. The rest of the lineup features the documentaries Bastards of Soul, the Randy Bachman-focused Takin’ Care of Business, and Bloody & Bruised: The Untold Story of the Back Room, which chronicles the rise and fall of Austin’s famed hard rock and heavy metal music venue. A narrative and documentary shorts package will screen on Dec. 14. A Minneapolis tradition since 1999, Sound Unseen expanded into Austin in 2020 with virtual programming before launching its in-person screenings in 2021 at the AFS Cinema. Aired: Dec. 4, 2024.
