"An Unquiet Mind"
With her documentary An Unquiet Mind, Austin-based director Rachel Immaraj seeks to address and erase the myths and misconceptions surrounding obsessive-compulsive disorder. Immaraj explores several types of OCD through portraits of two adults, Vinay and Natasha, living with OCD and managing their symptoms through exposure and response prevention (ERP) therapy. An Unquiet Mind will screen at 6 p.m. April 23 at the AFS Cinema during the Indie Meme Film Festival. Austin-based set dresser Rachel Immaraj makes her directorial debut with An Unquiet Mind. Immaraj has lived with OCD since age 12, was diagnosed with OCD in age 24 in 2018, and undertook ERP therapy to manage her symptoms.
