Interview:
Nora Garrett,
writer,
"After the Hunt"
Written by Nora Garrett, the searing #MeToo drama After the Hunt finds Yale University rocked by a sexual assault accusation against philosophy professor Hank Gibson (Andrew Garfield) by PhD student Maggie Resnick ( Ayo Edebiri). Caught in the middle of the scandal is Alma Imhoff (Julia Roberts), Maggie’s philosophy professor and Hank’s close colleague. Alma does not know whom to believe, and her hesitation to throw her full support behind Maggie or Hank places her pursuit of tenure in jeopardy. Directed by Challengers and Call Me by Your Name’s Luca Guadagnino, After the Hunt also stars Michael Stuhlbarg as Alma’s empathetic husband Frederik Mendelssohn and Chloë Sevigny as Alma’s initially supportive colleague Dr. Kim Sayers. After the Hunt, which represents actress Nora Garrett’s first produced screenplay, is now available to stream on Prime Video after opening in theaters in October.
