Austin Asian American Film Festival
The 17th annual Austin Asian American Film Festival runs June 25-29 at the AFS Cinema. The festival will open June 25 with Austin-based co-writer/director Yen Tan’s heartfelt dramedy All That We Love and will close June 29 with the Filipino drama Sunshine. The Chinese documentary Chinatown Cha-Cha serves as the centerpiece film on June 27. The Austin Asian American Film Festival also include the narrative features Paying for It, Sabar Bonda (Cactus Pears), and Waterdrop; the documentary features Made in Ethiopia, Night and Fog in Kurdistan, Standing Above the Clouds, Third Act, and Your Touch Makes Others Invisible, the filmed variety performance The Trio Hall; and Texas, narrative, and documentary shorts packages.
