2nd annual Hyperreal Short Film Fest
Placing a spotlight on Austin- and Texas-made narrative and documentary shorts, the second annual Hyperreal Short Film Fest will be held 7 p.m. March 27 and at 7 p.m. March 28 at the Hyperreal Film Club. March 27 will feature a jury-selected package of the 10 best short films that screened in 2025 at the microcinema, followed by an awards ceremony. On March 28, the four best local music videos will screen during a filmmaker and industry mixer party. In addition to serving as Hyperreal Film Club’s short film coordinator, Miki Das also is the co-founder of Palestinian focused Watermelon Film Club, which will host the 2017 dramedy Wajib at 7:30 p.m. March 25 at the Hyperreal Film Club.
