"Heartbreak in Hong Kong" Series
In celebration of the Chinese New Year, the Hyperreal Film Club presents Heartbreak in Hong Kong, a week-long series of romantic melodramas from “the Hollywood of the East.” The series opens Feb. 23 with Left Eye Sees Ghosts and continues with Comrades: Almost a Love Story on Feb. 25, Rouge on Feb. 26, and Happy Together paired with the Austin-based director Tyler Dey Ortiz’s short film Incandescently Beautiful on Feb. 27.
