Love means never having to say sorry for falling in love in your golden years. Directed by Austin-based Liz Moskowitz and Wimberly-based Riley Engemoen, the short documentary Forcefield of Love celebrates Don and Doris, an elderly Austin married couple with a sex life as colorful and as varied as their flashy wardrobe. The documentary examines how the two widowed seniors met online during the COVID-19 pandemic, fell in love before they met in person, and now spend their days living married life to the fullest. Forcefield of Love will screen at 3:15 p.m. March 12 and 11 a.m. March 15 at the Rollins Theatre at the Long Center as part of this year’s SXSW Film & TV Festival Texas Short Film Program. Photographer Liz Moskowitz and cinematographer Riley Engemoen work together at the Austin-based full-service documentary and production company Netta Lou Creative. Aired: March 4, 2026.
