The Czech That Film Texas! 2025 series brings four new films from the Czech Republic to Austin, with screenings scheduled at 7 p.m. April 8, 15, 22, and 29 at the Violet Crown Cinema. The series begins on April 8 with the drama The Gardener’s Year and continues April 15 with the drama Year of the Widow, April 22 with the animated family film Living Large, and April 29 with the dramedy Our Lovely Pig Slaughter. Czech That Film Texas! 2025 lead film programmer and documentary producer Jeffrey Brown (Cowboys, Dance Hall Days, Runaway Radio) also programs the First Tuesday SMTX series at the Price Center in San Marcos. The next First Tuesday SMTX screening is First We Bombed New Mexico at 7 p.m. April 1 at the Price Center in San Marcos.
