Austin Polish Film Festival
The 20th annual Austin Polish Film Festival, which opened Nov. 2 with a special screening of the biography Chopin, Chopin, continues Nov. 6-9 at the AFS Cinema. The festival includes the narrative features Franz, The In-Laws 3, It’s Not My Film, Kulej: All That Glitters Isn’t Gold, Minghun, Operation Pope, The Partisan, and the franchise films Vinci and Vinci 2; the documentary Train; and two package of shorts made by students of the Warsaw-based Munk Studios. The festival will also honor the late Polish filmmaker Wojciech Jerzy Has with screenings of his 1965 historical drama The Saragossa Manuscript and the new Has-focused documentary Description Found Years Later as well as an exhibition of posters from films directed byHas. The festival concludes 12:30 p.m. Nov. 15 with a block of children and youth films at the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church. Aired: Nov. 5, 2025.
