In Chris Hartwell's Houston-shot drama Do No Harm, Harry Shum Jr.'s burned-out home health nurse Sam makes a terrible mistake that results in the hospitalization of a teenage patient. Aware of the implications of his action, Sam spends a long and tiring day criss-crossing the city providing care to another nurse's patients while frantically trying to find ways to cover up his mistake. Do No Harm will screen at 8 p.m. Oct. 27 at the Galaxy Theatres Austin during the Austin Film Festival. Harry Shum Jr. currently stars as Dr. Benson "Blue" Kwan in the TV series Grey's Anatomy. He has appeared starred in the TV series Glee and Shadowhunters and the films Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny, Crazy Rich Asians, All My Life, Broadcast Signal Intrusion, and Everything Everywhere All at Once. Houston-based filmmaker Chris Hartwell makes his feature film directorial debut with Do No Harm; he previously wrote and directed the Do No Harm proof-of-concept short film The Way That I Take, an Austin Film Festival 2020 selection.
