Co-written by the Austin-based Greg Kwedar, the horse-racing drama Jockey focuses on a veteran jockey struggling to overcome the injuries that threaten to end his career. In addition, Jackson Silva (Westworld's Clifton Collins Jr.) must contend with the arrival of Gabriel Boullait (The Kings of Summer's Moises Arias), an up-and-coming jockey who claims to be Jackson's son. The cast also includes Molly Parker as horse trainer Ruth Wilkes. Jockey, which is directed by the Dallas-based Clint Bentley, will screen during the Austin Film Festival at 9 p.m. Oct. 23 at the Paramount Theatre. Greg Kwedar previously directed the 2016 thriller Transpeco, which he wrote with Clint Bentley and starred Clifton Collins Jr.
