The Ethereal Horror Fest runs Nov. 14-16 at the AFS Cinema. The microbudget horror film festival opens Nov. 14 with Austin-based director Lisa Belcher’s psychological thriller House of Abraham and the backwoods chiller God Country. Austin-based director Raven Carter’s supernatural thriller NoSeeUms, the mind-bender Tribe, and the closing night selection MEAT the Movie round out the features. Ethereal Horror Fest also includes seven themed shorts blocks throughout the weekend, a conference for emerging and established filmmakers on Nov. 15, and a live table reading of the festival’s script competition winner on Nov. 16.
