Austin Jewish Film Festival
The Austin Jewish Film Festival runs Oct. 31-Nov. 10 at Shalom Austin. The festival opens Oct. 31 with the crime drama Guns & Moses, starring Mark Feuerstein, Neal McDonough, and Dermot Mulroney, and closes Nov. 10 with Colleyville, a documentary about the 2022 domestic terrorism hostage situation at a Fort Worth-area synagogue. Narrative features comprise of All About the Leftkoviches, Auction, The Blond Boy from the Casbah, The Glory of Life, Nor by Day, Nor by Night, Running on Sand, and Yaniv. Iron Ladies and the Oct. 7-themed Song of Ascent round out the documentary features. The festival will screen a package of short films on Nov. 2; the short documentary Seeds for Change will screen Nov. 9. The virtual program, featuring most of the festival’s features and shorts, runs Nov. 15-24. Note: This interview was conducted before The Blond Boy from the Casbah was added to the festival program.
