Interview:
Charlie Schwan,
writer/director,
"Harvester"
![]() What would you do to relive a defining moment in your life? In Austin native Charlie Schwan’s short chiller Harvester, the titular supernatural entity grants a young woman her wish to revisit a pivotal past memory in exchange for a sacrifice too dreadful to imagine. But the woman will do anything to remain in this moment for as long as she can. Harvester screens at 6:30 p.m. March 7 at the Hyatt Regency and at 11 a.m. March 10 at the Rollins Theatre at the Long Center as part of the SXSW Film & TV Festival’s Texas Short Program. An Austin native now living in L.A., Charlie Schwan’s University of Texas undergraduate thesis film The Goodnight Show premiered in 2018 at the Tribeca Film Festival. He also has directed the short chillers Death Snot and Mr. Sunshine. Aired: March 5, 2025. Web sites: https://schedule.sxsw.com/2025/films/2206254 https://www.charlieschwan.com/ |
