![]() Written and directed by Benjamin Barfoot, the chiller Daddy's Head explores the devastating effects of prolonged grief through one child's encounters with a strange and potentially malevolent entity. Several years after losing his mother, preteen Isaac's (Rupert Turnbull) father dies in a car accident. Isaac is so alone and despondent that he quickly withdraws from his equally distraught stepmother Laura (Julia Brown), who does not know how to reach or comfort Isaac. Laura, who believes she lacks the necessary maternal instincts to raise Isaac, must contend with her own grief while being pressured to make a decision about Isaac's guardianship. Without warning, a creature of unknown origin breaks into the isolated country house Isaac's architect father designed and built. A creature that bears the head of Isaac's father ....
