The Austin Film Society's October 2025 programming at the AFS Cinema is highlighted by two series: John Woo: Heroic Bloodshed and French New Wave, Curated By Richard Linklater. Special screenings include Hale County This Morning, This Evening with director RaMell Ross in attendance. New releases include two new narrative dramas directed by Richard Linklater, Blue Moon and Nouvelle Vague, and the Robert Clemente documentary Clemente, which includes Linklater among its executive producers. Repertory screenings include City of God, The Friend, Happiness, The Limey, Linda Linda Linda, Oldboy, Peking Opera Blues, and the Lates selections Christiane F., Deprisa, Deprisa, and Rosa La Rose, Fille Publique.
