July 2026 Programming
The Austin Film Society's July 2026 programming at the AFS Cinema is highlighted by the series Four by Preston Sturges and 2 X Shunji Iwai. The AFS Cinema will also host the 12th anniversary screening of Boyhood with director Richard Linklater and stars Ethan Hawke, Patricia Arquette, and Ellar Coltrane in attendance. Retrospective screenings include The Elephant Man, I Shot Andy Warhol, Journey to Italy, Mikey and Nicky, Millennium Actress, Peeping Tom, 2001: A Space Odyssey, To Die For, the Queer Cinema: Lost & Found selection Macho Dancer, and the Lates selections The Devil Queen, Metal Skin, and The Taste of Tea. New releases include Maddie's Secret with star/writer/director John Early in attendance for the 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. screenings on July 4.
