Local offering include an Aug. 9 members-only screening of Sing Sing, with Austin-based co-writer/director Greg Kwedar and producer Monique Walton in attendance; a 10th anniversary screening of Paul Collins and Anlo Sepulveda's Yakona; and an encore run of Don Hertzfeldt's new short Me, paired with his 2012 feature It's Such a Beautiful Day, beginning on Aug. 30. On Aug. 2, artist and filmmaker Harrod Blank introduces the newly restored screening of his father Les Blank's seminar documentary Burden of Dreams, about the making of Fitzcarraldo, followed by a screening of the Werner Herzog masterpiece.
