Indie Meme Film Festival
Dedicated to bringing South Asian independent cinema to Austin, the Indie Meme Film Festival runs April 22-26 at the AFS Cinema. The festival opens April 22 with the Indian drama Vimukt (In Search of the Sky) and closes April 26 with the reversible male contraceptive documentary Give It A Shot. The lineup also includes the live-action narrative features Divine Comedy, FuckToys, Shape of Momo, and Victoria, the animated sci-fi thriller Schirkoa: In Lies We Trust, and the documentaries Listy z Wilczej (Letters From Wolf Street) and An Unquiet Mind by Austin-based director Rachel Immaraj. The festival also includes a Texas Showcase on April 23, featuring An Unquiet Mind and two shorts, an international shorts program on April 25, and a family shorts program on April 26.
