"Together"
In writer/director Michael Shanks' body-horror romantic chiller Together, a couple finds their fragile marriage tested in a strange and unexpected way. Real-life married couple Dave Franco and Alison Brie play rock musician Tim and school teacher Millie, respectively, who moved from the city to the countryside to work on their strained relationship. During a hike in the woods, Tim and Millie fall into a cave and undergo a profound transformation that threatens to either tear them apart as a couple or bring them closer than they have ever been. Together, which premiered locally during this year’s SXSW Film & TV Festival, opened July 30. Alison Brie and Dave Franco previously starred together in The Little Hours and The Disaster Artist. Franco also directed Brie in The Rental and Somebody I Used to Know, the latter of which Franco wrote with Brie. Dave Franco’s upcoming films include The Shitheads, a comedy written and directed by the Austin-based filmmaker Macon Blair. Aired: July 30, 2025. Web site: https://www.neonrated.com/film/together |
